Personal Identifiable Information and Rentention

You can set what data trustMinder to consider as Personal Identifiable Information (PII). 

Please note, PII needs to be classified _before_ a contact is received by trustMinder so that the platform can separate it from non-PII data.

• Non-PII data is stored with a survey response. This can be used in the Insights section.
• PII data is not stored with response data and is deleted when the Contact is automatically deleted. 

Retention

You can set the amount of time trustMinder retains PII data in the Retention section.

• Contact Manager - this amount of time trustMinder will retain a contact in the contact manager. A good setting is 100 days. 
• Contact Files - if trustMinder receives contacts via CSV files, either transferred via SFTP or email bridge trustMinder will retain these files for a period of time. A good setting is 10 days
• Campaign Data - this is the amount of time trustMinder will retain response data. This is usually set to 'Forever'.
