Report Details is the view for custom dashboard reports. It shows your configured charts, supports filtering and time-based analysis, and lets you export and share reports.


What is Report Details?

Report Details provides:
  • Custom chart visualization - View all charts in your report
  • Interactive filtering - Filter by date range, responses, and contact variables
  • Flexible layouts - Charts positioned on a canvas
  • Multiple chart types - Standard charts, text tables, crosstabs, cards, and more
  • Export capabilities - Download as PDF or PowerPoint
  • Sharing - Generate shareable links
  • Dynamic updates - Rolling date reports update automatically


Understanding Report Types

Two report types are supported:

Custom Chart Reports

  • Charts created with Chart Wizard
  • Positioned on a canvas
  • Interactive and filterable
  • Editable layout and configuration

Generated Reports by AI

  • AI-generated  reports
  • Formatted text with embedded charts
  • Read-only view
  • Scrollable content


Getting Started

Opening a Report

  1. Navigate to My Reports
  2. Click a report name
  3. Report Details opens with all charts

Understanding the Layout

Left Sidebar
  • Filters and controls
  • Collapsible (arrow button)
  • Shows filter indicators when collapsed
Main Canvas Area
  • Charts displayed on a scrollable canvas
  • Charts positioned absolutely
  • Responsive to filters and date changes


Using the Sidebar

Collapsing/Expanding

  • Click the arrow button to toggle
  • Collapsed shows filter indicators
  • More space for charts when collapsed

Timeframe Selector

Static Date Ranges
  • Custom date range: Select start and end dates
  • Before date: All data before a date
  • After date: All data after a date
Rolling Date Ranges (auto-updating)
  • Today, Yesterday
  • This Week, Last Week
  • This Month, Last Month
  • This Quarter, Last Quarter
  • Last 30/60/90/120/365 Days
  • Year to Date (YTD)
  • Last Year
How Rolling Dates Work:
  • Dates recalculate automatically
  • Data refreshes on load
  • Example: "Last 90 Days" always shows the most recent 90 days
Changing Timeframe:
  1. Open sidebar
  2. Use the timeframe dropdown
  3. Select a preset or choose "Custom Range"
  4. For custom, select start and end dates
  5. Report updates automatically

Time Trend Selector (if applicable)

  • Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year
  • Groups time-series data
  • Affects charts with time components
  • Default: Week

Response Filters

Filter by answer choices:
  1. Expand a question in the sidebar
  2. Check/uncheck answer choices
  3. Charts update to show filtered data
  4. Multiple questions can be filtered
Use Cases:
  • Show only positive ratings (4-5 stars)
  • Focus on specific departments
  • Analyze particular response patterns

Contact Variable Filters (CCVs)

Filter by demographics or custom fields:
  1. Find Contact Variables in the sidebar
  2. Select values from dropdowns/checkboxes
  3. Charts update to show only selected segments
  4. Combine multiple CCV filters

  • Filter by department, region, role
  • Segment by employee type
  • Analyze custom demographic groups

Chart Controls Menu

Available on each chart (menu icon):
  • View Fullscreen: Expand chart
  • Download: Save as PNG, JPG, PDF, or SVG
  • Print Chart: Print individual chart
  • View Data Table: See underlying data

Zoom and Pan

  • Click and drag to zoom
  • Pan after zooming
  • Reset zoom button
  • Useful for detailed analysis


Filtering Your Report

Combining Filters

Example Workflow:
  1. Set timeframe: "Last 90 Days"
  2. Apply response filter: "4-5 star ratings only"
  3. Apply CCV filter: "Sales Department"
  4. All charts update to show filtered data
Filter Indicators:
  • Blue filter icon when response filters active
  • Blue person icon when CCV filters active
  • Visible even when sidebar is collapsed

Clearing Filters

  • Uncheck boxes to remove filters
  • Clear all filters button (if available)
  • Refresh page to reset everything

Note: Crosstab charts are excluded from PowerPoint exports (not supported).

Sharing Reports

Generate Shareable Link

  1. Click "Share" button in the header
  2. Dialog opens with shareable URL
  3. Link expires after set number of days (default: 7)
  4. Copy link to share
